Drivers placed 1st to 15th in D1 S7: Placed in S8 Division 1
Drivers placed 1st to 15th in World Rankings after final race of S7: Placed in S8 Division 1
Drivers in D2 who earnt more than 15pts per start and entered 6 or more races automatically entered into D1.
Drivers in D2 who earnt less than 12pts per start automatically entered into D2.

All remaining drivers will be placed manually by GRC Admins based on past performance in the Championship. Drivers new to the championship will be placed based upon performance against Championship drivers in the Cups.

If Drivers are not placed in a division automatically they may PM the GRCL Admin on the forums before you are manually placed, and the admins will take this request into account if you are borderline.

Drivers will be split as admins feel fit to allow the fairest split of drivers. Drivers will not be allowed to switch division after they have been placed.

Manual driver placements will be conducted by admins on the following dates:
Monday 15th February 2010
Monday 22nd February 2010

Any drivers who signup after the 22nd February will be placed as soon as possible by the admins.

Teams & Cars

Teams will this season only allow a maximum of 2 drivers.
Each team’s driver will have to use the same car model.
Teams can setup satellite teams with different drivers and cars if they wish.
Drivers who race as independents may later join a team.
Drivers may leave their team and race as an independent at any time. However they may not race for a different team unless the switch at the transfer window.
Drivers who have raced with a car model, may not use a different car model.
Drivers may change their car and team after registration until they have raced in one race. This may require you to PM an admin.

Most of the above changes may be carried out in your user cp. However if you are having trouble please contact an admin. Team changes are car changes will be allowed until Sunday 28th February to allow drivers to join the team they wish.

Transfer Window
A transfer window will open between the 4th and 5th event of the season. During this time drivers will be able to do the following:
All drivers may change team to a different team running the same car.
All drivers outside the top 10 in the drivers title and have competed in at least 4 races may change their car.

All transfer window changes must be submitted in a post which will be created at the time on the forums.

Weight Penalties

The weights penalty system will remain the same from Season 6 with one slight adjustment. This is a little complicated so please bare with.

Championship Penalties

The first set of penalties will be calculated based on pts position in the championship with out penalty points.

1st placed driver will receive a 35kg penalty.
9th placed driver will receive no penalty.

All drivers in-between will receive a penalty based on their points difference between the 1st and 9th placed drivers.

So a driver 10pts behind the leader, and 30pts ahead of 9th placed will receive a 30kg penalty.

This will result in a fairer penalty system for drivers closely placed.

Event Penalties

The second set of penalties will be based on how drivers finished in the previous event. This penalty will come into effect from the 3rd event onwards, with the penalties being earnt from the second event.

Best driver overall from the last event will receive a 25kg penalty.
6th best driver overall from the last event will receive no penalty.

All drivers in-between will receive a penalty based on their points difference between the 1st and 6th placed drivers.

So a driver who received 5pts less than the best and 15pts more than the 6th best will receive a 15kg penalty.

Midseason Novice Penalties

Drivers who enter the championship late will be subject to a maximum 20kg penalty for the first event they take part in. This is to prevent new drivers mid season entering and dominating due to their lack of weight penalty.

This penalty takes effect for any drivers who have not taken part in at least one race by the time of the 4th event of the championship.

Skin Packs

Skin Packs will be created for this championship. Skins should be submitted on the forums using the provided templates. All submitted skins should be saved in 2048×2048 resolution, in DXT5 DDS files with all mip maps.

The deadlines are as follows:

Skin Pack 1a: (D2) tba
