Qualification
All drivers entering the GRC Championship are now required to have earnt an A-License via entering cup events before being able to enter. The following divers are automatically placed for the GRC Championship Season 8: All remaining drivers will be placed manually by GRC Admins based on past performance in the Championship. Drivers new to the championship will be placed based upon performance against Championship drivers in the Cups. If Drivers are not placed in a division automatically they may PM the GRCL Admin on the forums before you are manually placed, and the admins will take this request into account if you are borderline. Drivers will be split as admins feel fit to allow the fairest split of drivers. Drivers will not be allowed to switch division after they have been placed. Manual driver placements will be conducted by admins on the following dates: Any drivers who signup after the 22nd February will be placed as soon as possible by the admins. Teams & Cars Teams will this season only allow a maximum of 2 drivers. Most of the above changes may be carried out in your user cp. However if you are having trouble please contact an admin. Team changes are car changes will be allowed until Sunday 28th February to allow drivers to join the team they wish. Transfer Window All transfer window changes must be submitted in a post which will be created at the time on the forums. Weight Penalties The weights penalty system will remain the same from Season 6 with one slight adjustment. This is a little complicated so please bare with. Championship Penalties The first set of penalties will be calculated based on pts position in the championship with out penalty points. 1st placed driver will receive a 35kg penalty. All drivers in-between will receive a penalty based on their points difference between the 1st and 9th placed drivers. So a driver 10pts behind the leader, and 30pts ahead of 9th placed will receive a 30kg penalty. This will result in a fairer penalty system for drivers closely placed. Event Penalties The second set of penalties will be based on how drivers finished in the previous event. This penalty will come into effect from the 3rd event onwards, with the penalties being earnt from the second event. Best driver overall from the last event will receive a 25kg penalty. All drivers in-between will receive a penalty based on their points difference between the 1st and 6th placed drivers. So a driver who received 5pts less than the best and 15pts more than the 6th best will receive a 15kg penalty. Midseason Novice Penalties Drivers who enter the championship late will be subject to a maximum 20kg penalty for the first event they take part in. This is to prevent new drivers mid season entering and dominating due to their lack of weight penalty. This penalty takes effect for any drivers who have not taken part in at least one race by the time of the 4th event of the championship. Skin Packs Skin Packs will be created for this championship. Skins should be submitted on the forums using the provided templates. All submitted skins should be saved in 2048×2048 resolution, in DXT5 DDS files with all mip maps. The deadlines are as follows: Skin Pack 1a: (D2) tba The following restrictions are in place on driver sign ups. To enter this championship you license rank must be at least A License |
